This retreat provides a perfect opportunity for those starting out with the practice of meditation as well as those who are in need of a refresher. It will be held in an atmosphere of contemplative silence with times for discussion and some social exchange. There will be instruction, guided meditations and time to relax and enjoy Mvuleni Mountain. While drawing from Buddhist and other contemplative traditions, the actual practice and underlying principles of meditation transcend denomination and can be integrated into any spiritual observance as well as the practicalities of daily life.

JP Meyer - is an artist, part-time teacher and manager of Dharmagiri Buddhist Hermitage. Shortly after his first meditation retreat in 1994 he swapped the corporate life for that of a full-time art student, graduating with distinction in 1999 and since then has a number of successful exhibitions.
